Pros: I found it cool... until it completely fell apart, not even 2 months after I bought it. Cons: I'm happy that I've waited a couple of months before writing this review. Right after getting it, I would have written a good review (the bag is very cute) BUT the bag turned out to be of EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY. The leather quickly ripped apart. First, the right strap came unstitched and you could see the plastic within the strap. Then, the lash just broke. Finally, the left strap broke too: the seams are not strong at all. So three months after buying this "cute" bag, I find myself with a scrap ready for the trash. I am very angry. I'm not sure what kind of leather this is to fell apart like it did.
Pros: A little larger and it would have been even better. Still, a great little weekend trail-pack. Actually very well made. Very comfortable. Once it is waterproofed, it looks like it will last a lifetime. Was worried it would be too stiff or, even worse, dry rotted as I had read elsewhere but happy to say no regrets! Really, a great buy!
Pros: I really like this gentleman's leather backpack. It is perfect for me since I tend to have a lot of wear and tear on my bags being a ranger for a state park. The leather is nice and holds up real well. Cons: nothing that I can think of
