Futuristic and almost magical looking due to reflecting coating, the 29" Expandable ChromaShift Spinner by Travelpro is a true gem. Scratch resistant shell, lightweight and compartmentalized interior, this one is a keeper!
Is this considered an oversized bag when checked in at an airline?
If left unexpanded it should stay within the standard 62 linear inch allowance. Once expanded it would exceed 62 linear inches. Most likely though it would exceed a 50 lb. weight limit if filled to capacity. Thanks for reaching out to us! - Answered by Matt on April 4, 2018
Is the 29" before being expanded or after it has been expanded 2"?
The 29" is pre-expansion. - Answered by on March 14, 2017

large enough for anyone
PROS: A very large suitcase with mesh zipper cover on one side. I love the pop back sides if it is crushed. I just took it on its first trip and it was large enough for my husband and I for several days. We bought two for long cruises. It rolls wonderfully and is very light weight.

CONS: The only thing I didn't consider was that it does not fit on a hotel bag holder because there are clothes in both sides of it.

Lightweight and beautiful!
PROS: The color is beautiful. It's big enough for a 14 day trip. The weight is perfect.

Excellent for a week on my own plus some for the plus one
PROS: The colors are great enough to receive quite a few compliments. It is extremely light. It is tall enough not to have to extend the handle while walking. Excellent maneuverability - where hands are supposed to go, there is a handheld. I am impressed. For the money, I could not find a cooler case.

CONS: I cannot testify to how long the zippers will last. It would be nice to have alignments when it is folded closed to save the zippers. Also, in the smaller bags, TravelPro offers multiple smaller sundry/mesh compartments. This one has no plastic-lined sundry compartment, but does offer three mesh-reserved spaces.

Something new
PROS: After years of using soft-sided suitcases, this is my first foray into hardside. I'm partial to Travelpro, having experienced their great quality previously, so I anticipate this purchase will not disappoint either - long trip coming up, and this looks and feels as though it should easily withstand being thrown around. I like the interior spaciousness, although a tie-down under the zipped portion might help items to stay put better. We'll see how it goes.

Lightweight and sturdy
PROS: Eight roller wheels make it sturdy and not flimsy at all. Monochrome colour makes it unique too!

Great Value - just watch the weight of your bag!
PROS: lightweight (for a hardside), great price, wheels nicely, handles on top and side, built-in lock to zippers

CONS: after 1 use I still see some scratches (although it was still completely pristine as far as functionality goes); I wish it would come in less obvious colors (e.g. black, grey, dark blue); the mesh divider is hard to stretch all the way to where it needs to zipper; what I dislike the MOST is that you have to turn this suitcase on its frontside (which seems upside down) to open it without having all of your clothes fall out the other side (which only has a cross-webbing clip rather than a full-sided zip-in liner). overall seems like a great bag for the price! time will tell on the durability.
