With the Salsa Air 30" Multiwheel, Rimowa is reinventing stylish and practical luggage. What's not to love about roomy packing space, ingenious organization system and waterproof YKK zippers wrapped in a nearly indestructible German Polycarbonate shell? The interior layout is divided into 2 zippered compartments to allow you to pack everything you need for longer trips. Effortlessly maneuver this suitcase thanks to the 8 ball bearing multiwheel system and the telescoping handle. Even when compressed, it bounces back as soon as the pressure is released.

Polycarbonate NOT recommended
PROS: Light, easy to handle, "trains" together nicely, good looking luggage

CONS: It will not survive long term use. Inner divider came apart after 2 years. After the 5th year sometime, it got a crack in the side. A few trips later, the corner was cracked and caved in. Contacted Rimowa Canada and said it is out of their warranty, it's not supposed to be indestructible. Looks great works great but I will buy Briggs and Riley for my next bag as their warranty is far superior.

Lightest suitcase I've found
PROS: I love this lightweight case. It's very stylish and glides along so easily. I have yet to put it through its paces but am so looking forward to trying it out knowing that all the weight will be taken up by my clothes and not the case. It arrived quickly to Australia. I couldn't get the colour and size I wanted in the timeframe I had so am pleased with the service from LuggagePros.

CONS: As yet, nothing.

Largest piece that doesn’t trigger oversize-bag airline fees--great for long trips!
PROS: I wanted to buy the 32” for my third piece, but had to settle for the 30” because the 32” is considered oversize now on all domestic and int’l airlines, even if cruise lines and trains accept it. The 30” measures EXACTLY 62 linear in. (and the 26” still nests inside it for storage). Light weight, easy maneuverability (especially when wheeling a second or even third bag, simple-to-use lock, cool looks, easy to spot at baggage claim thanks to that neon-green color. Easy to pack:, opens flat and the mesh dividers zip closed so that you can put it opened up in an L-shape without worrying that anything will fall out if you put the wrong half up. I keep clothing (rolled) in one side and loose items and shoes in the other. Mesh dividers each have 2 zipper pulls. Abrasions show less easily in this lighter color yet don’t compromise contents or maneuverability. I also own the 26” and 29” models in navy.

CONS: NONE about this piece yet, as it just arrived. It’ll get the acid test on my upcoming trip to Spain (flights bet. Chicago-Madrid, Madrid-Seville, and train trip Madrid-Barcelona).

Easy to maneuver
PROS: I admit I have a tendency to over pack. With this luggage I never have to worry about being overweight. I have the purple color and I have only seen one other bag like it and that was on the island of Santorini, Greece. We spent three weeks island hopping and several times we walked quite a ways with our luggage. It was always easy to handle. I can lift it with one finger when it is empty. Lightest luggage I have ever seen.

CONS: It does get banged up but it has spent 3 weeks in Greece, 3 trips cross country, a flight to Vegas and numerous car trips. It is sturdy but for the scratches. I will definitely buy a smaller one when they produce one compatible with overseas flight.
