Great Bags, but be careful with the locks
PROS: Bought two of these bags for a 2-week adventure to Norway. They are bulletproof, waterproof, and the wheels stay on. We put them through six plane flights, three rail journeys, three bus trips, two cab rides, and 11 days aboard a Hurtigruten ferry. Mine was even opened and inspected by TSA behind the scenes in Phoenix, AZ. Our Limbos came through with flying colors. Let's hear it for German engineering!

CONS: On the downside, the instructions in the official user's manual for changing the lock combinations are catastrophically WRONG. Following them, I found myself using three hands and, inexplicably, a ballpoint pen trying to reset the combination wheels. The night before our trip, I ended up with three of four locks closed and set to unknown combinations. Only hours of painstaking trial and error allowed me to get the bags open again. The actual, correct procedure is simple, takes only seconds, and is available in a video on line. Rimowa needs to issue an emergency change to the printed manual, including a link to the official video. The only other downside to these bags is the incredibly high price ($850 for a carry-on), which never seems to be discounted.
