Pros: I left MacPro Book outside in my car in -20F weather overnight. I brought it in at 8am, wrapped case in plastic, later just the powerbook in plastic and thawed for total time of 5 hours. My powerbook survived! The Thule case is the reason it survived. Cons: Nothing.
