B&R's "Guaranteed for Life" program is a joke
PROS: Generally functions well for its purpose, at least until it falls apart.

CONS: Poor build quality, abysmal Briggs & Riley customer service, company fails to stand behind its marketing pledges. I purchased this carry on in 2014. After about a year and a half of weekly use, it was showing quite a bit of normal wear and tear (which is fine given the amount I use it), but had also developed a six inch split completely through the seam and lining at the seam on one of the corners on the rear of the bag. The main reason I had purchased the bag was because of the B&R guarantee when such damage occurred, so I sent it back expecting a hassle free repair or replacement.

B&R commits to a 15 day turnaround on repairs. The bag did not arrive back to me until exactly a month had passed. No updates from when I sent the bag until the return shipping notice was provided. The "repair" that B&R conducted was to stitch a piece of ballistic nylon over the rip in the seam, which wound up looking like I had essentially duct-taped it back together. I called customer service in the middle of a weekday and was unable to reach anyone. I left a message, waited a week, and did not receive a response, so called again. I was finally able to reach a customer service rep, explained my issue, and sent a picture of the shoddy repair. She couldn't reach the proper internal function, so promised to call me right back, which she did not do. I ultimately received an e-mail saying "The repair on your bag is the best that can be done by way (sic) the material was ripped." This represents an embarrassing failure to stand behind an expensive product, particularly for a company that promotes customer service and its guarantee policy as heavily as B&R does. Stick to Tumi or Victorinox, as I wish I had.

Carryon Garment bag
PROS: Well organized bag. I like the handle on the outside which leaves a flat packing surface on the interior

CONS: The suiter comparment really needs a suit bag. Once your clothes are in they tend to come out the sides when closing. An additional padded bar 1/3 down from the hanger would help as well. The main compartment would benfit from compression straps and an easy reach pouch for your liquids bag at security

The Perfect Carry-on
PROS: I love the sturdy material, wheels and telescoping handle, but my favorite thing is the way that the bag is organized. It's great to find a carry on bag that has a suit/dress compartment and all of the separate pockets for shoes, shirts, etc.

CONS: So far, nothing I didn't like, but I haven't begun to use it yet . . . it was a Christmas gift.
