Luggage Tags

Luggage tags provide a way for travelers to quickly spot their luggage on a crowded carousel, as well as provide proof that the bags actually belong to them. Flat, slim and the size of a standard business card, they allow enough room for a name, address and phone number. Typically made from a durable and easy to clean material such as leather, canvas, plastic, nylon or polyester, they have a slot that is covered by a clear plastic window where the identification card is inserted. The plastic ensures that the information remains dry, clean and smudge-free.

Some styles also have a flap or cover that conceals the information until it is lifted and revealed, for additional security. Even though many bags come with a matching tag, some people prefer to have an customized one with a bright color or pattern that will stand out. Luggage tags can be attached to a zipper, buckle, clip, handle or pre-existing tag loop.
