Garment Bags

Garment bags are a category of luggage used to kept clothing flat, clean and wrinkle-free during travel. This full-length bag has a pre-slit hole for hangers, an interior strap to keep garments in place, extra storage compartments for accessories and a vertical center zipper. The ideal garment bag will also be lightweight and water resistant. Once the clothing is safely inside, the bag simply folds in half and can be carried via handles through a busy airport and placed into an overhead compartment on a plane.

Some garment bag designs have rolling wheels and a retractable handle to relieve back strain. It is frequently used by people traveling for business who need a fresh work outfit first thing in the morning or those attending a formal event, such as a wedding or funeral. Garment bags are made from a variety of materials such as nylon, leather, polyester, vinyl and canvas. Additionally, depending on the size garment bags can hold one single item or several outfits.
