Laptop sleeves are slim cases designed to protect expensive computer equipment from moisture, abrasion and damage. The slender design can be slipped into another bag, like a briefcase or tote bag. It can also be carried alone, by tucking it under the arm or utilizing the hidden hand grips or detachable shoulder strap. Some designs feature a zipper that goes around the entire case, while others incorporate the flap over method.
Sleeves can be hardside and made from aluminum, polycarbonate or ABS plastic, or a softside fabric like Neoprene, ballistic nylon, rubber, polyester or leather. Select styles have a built-in work station, with rubber spacers or elastic bands, to keep it from moving. Extra pockets for accessories, like a mouse, power cord, backup battery, zip-files and disks, keep everything organized and together for easy access, while slip pockets hold files or a legal pad. Laptop sleeves come in a wide assortment of colors, patterns, prints and some are even reversible.
