Gain the best of both worlds with Ricardo Beverly Hill's lightweight hybrid cases. Each piece has flexible exterior pockets and rigid hardside protection to produce cases that are strong, secure and very lightweight.
PROS: Good interior and exterior storage. Expandable. Very nice appearance.
CONS: I have two pieces of this luggage. Both developed rear wheel (the wheels nearest you when you pull the bag behind you) wear after only a few uses. I am not a luggage abuser. The problem is that the rear wheel castors don’t “track” well, causing uneven wheel wear, which then rapidly escalates. I bought new castor/wheel units and the exact same thing happened. I suppose it’s possible that I got some of the few lemons out there, but it seems highly unlikely. I ultimately “saved” the bags by locking the rear castors into the correct position, something the average person is not likely to be able to do. This produced some loss of functionality but was better than pitching the bags out. By the way, the Ricardo warranty was of no practical value in regard to the wheel issue; too many hoops to jump through.

CONS: After just a couple of trips plastic around the wheel cracked, now unusable. Looks good but not.
