General Warranty Information

Our warranty is backed by over 90 years in the luggage business. At Samsonite, we've been making luggage since 1910. It's no wonder we stand behind our products.

We sincerely believe that our luggage is the best in the world. We put our products through rigorous tests to ensure that the luggage you trust is built to the highest standards. You will probably never encounter a problem with your Samsonite or American Tourister luggage. In the unlikely event that within 10 years* from the original purchase you discover a problem caused by defects in either workmanship or materials, we'll be happy to see that it is fixed (or replaced, if we decide that would be best). All we ask is that you bring your case to one of our Authorized Warranty Repair Centers. If the Repair Center determines that the problem is covered by our warranty, we'll take care of the rest, at our expense. If a replacement is necessary and your product is no longer available, a comparable product will be substituted.

Another great benefit to our warranty - it is good all over the world. If product is purchased in the United States, but repair is needed in another country, simply pay for the repairs and send your repair receipt with proof of purchase to Samsonite Corporation, PO Box 90124, Allentown PA 18109, and we will reimburse you. Samsonite/American Tourister luggage is tested to withstand normal wear and tear, but is not indestructible and can be damaged by misuse. Our warranty (just like other warranties worldwide) can't cover wear and tear or abusive treatment. But our extensive repair network does ensure a timely repair at a fair price.

Misuse can include damage caused by airlines or other common carriers. Be sure to check your luggage when it is returned to you. If you notice damage, submit a claim to the carrier before you leave the airport. If your product is damaged by a carrier or by normal wear and tear, or is out of the warranty period, you can still contact an Authorized Repair Center that will advise you and provide repair at your cost.

If you ship your product to a repair station, please send it prepaid, insured and in a carton. Please include the following:

Proof of purchase
Brief description of the problem

Box 90124, Allentown, PA 18109; or by accessing our Authorized Repair Center locator. Please do not send the product to Samsonite, as this will only delay your repair. We've been around a long time, and provided satisfaction to millions of travelers. So rest assured, if your luggage ever needs repair, we'll still be here to take care of you.

Retaining the following items will be helpful should repair become necessary:
Product tags and proof of purchase
Warranty certificate
The product carton, which can be collapsed for storage

*Warranty duration varies depending on your product line and date of purchase. Please refer back to the original warranty certificate received with your purchase. If you are unsure of your warranty duration, please call 1-800-262-8282. Press 1 then 6 to talk with a service representative.

Note: Not all products that carry the Samsonite and American Tourister names are manufactured by Samsonite Corporation. Accessories, casual bags, backpacks and business cases are among some of the products that are branded Samsonite or American Tourister but may be covered under the manufacturer's own warranty.

Incidental or consequential losses are excluded. Some states do not permit the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other legal rights that vary from state to state.

Locks are intended only to prevent accidental opening and cannot necessarily prevent theft of case or its contents. Manufacturing specifications are subject to change without notice.
