Patagonia Maximum Legal Carry-on (MLC)

Pros: High quality materials that one expects from Patagonia! The zippers are strong. I love the storable back pack straps. I used both the back pack and shoulder strap when I used this bag on a two trip to Eastern Europe. I had been pushing off buying this bag because of the cost, but I'm glad I did. It is great to finally have a light weight bag that meets European budget carrier size limitations. I hope it lasts for decades like my Patagonia Messenger Bag

Pros: Great bag, used it on a 3 week trip to France. and even a great weekender. It worked so well decided to get one for each of our kids.

Cons: Like the half moon zipper (old style) better than this new zipper.

Pros: I can't speak for business travel, but for a casual trip this bag is great for up to a full week. Far roomier than I expected. After packing for a 3-day trip I had room for several more articles (days worth) of clothing. I pack a lot lighter than my girlfriend, and the backpack straps allow my hands to be free to comfortably transport her bag as well as mine.

Cons: As other reviews have stated, the front zipper opening is too small for the pocket size.

Pros: I can get a weeks worth of clothes and computer in bag!

Pros: Great bag for 2-5 days. Travel every week for work and this bag will be tested. I like the the multiple pockets for quick access in security line (ie...laptop, liquids, etc).

Cons: More subtle color options would be nice. Got the black, but would prefer dark brown or navy (still professional, but different).

Pros: It held a week's worth of clothes for a trip to Yosemite.

Pros: Good size bag with lots of storage pockets, etc.

Cons: While it might be the max legal size, it appears as if it would fit in the overhead of a regional jet. could use a little more flexibility to stretch the depth a bit!

Pros: Spacious; durable; convertible feature is awesome; well laid out

Cons: Too big to use as a briefcase
