Lipault's Plume Business & Laptop Bags are unbelievably lightweight, handsome in design, and easy to wheel or carry. This collection is filled with loads of functional features including padded laptop compartments and plenty of organizational pockets for all your papers and accessories.
How do you prevent the straps from dragging on the ground? I am trying to decide between this one and the brief case style.
The straps tuck away into a pocket on the back side. -

How do I cover the wheels so it does not stain my clothes?
Can it be used as an additional carry on?
The Lipault Wheeled Laptop Backpack has a zippered flap in the back that will go over the wheels. It can be used as a carry-on however if you're referring to the additional carry-on as the under-the-seat item is may be too large for that. It's best to check with individual airline restrictions however because they do vary. -

is there a separate cover that slips over the wheel to protect clothing or do I have to open out a part of the bag to cover the wheels?
The cover for the wheels is attached to the bag and not separate. -

Do the wheels come off? That is, when you wear this as a backpack, is it just the pack, or do you carry the wheels ans handles with it? THANK YOU!
The wheels and handle are attached an do not come off. The backpack includes them. -

PROS: Good as 15 inch laptop-backpack with option of wheels for air travel, fits under seat on plane. Nice feel, just remember it is a backpack on wheels, with the capacity of a backpack, not the capacity of a duffle or carry-on suitcase.
CONS: The outer velcro strap that is designed to fit around the extended handle of a larger wheeled carry-on bag - the feature I found most appealing - does not fit over the slightly wider handle of my carry-on bag. So I cannot slide the backpack down over the handle of my carry-on bag to stabilize it above the carry-on bag when I'm pulling them both through airports. Not wide enough to fit over my carry-on handle. I will have to modify that sewn strap, or keep using a bungee cord to stabilize the backpack above my carry-on bag. Bummer.
