Pros: In the 5 years prior to purchasing this luggage, I probably went through 5 sets of 5 other brands of luggage. I finally broke down and spent the extra money for the Briggs & Riley and have ended up saving a bundle in the long run! I've had the 25" upright, the 22" upright and the backpack from this series now for more than two years. They have withstood approximately 500,000 miles of travel during that time with trips all across North America, Europe and South America via airplanes, trains, buses and automobiles. So I guess their durability would have to be their biggest "pro." They're lightweight and can be stuffed as full as you can make them without a zipper breaking or a seam coming undone, with one small exception of the seam where the straps meet the backplate of the backpack, which I will send in to be repaired if I ever stop using the thing long enough to send it in! I have the Amber color and, while it could use some spot cleaning, still looks pretty good.
Cons: My only complaint, and this is very minor, is the orientation of the zipper pocket on the inside of both of the uprights. If you open your suitcase on a luggage rack, and lean the lid against a wall and open that zipper, anything in that pocket is going to slide out. I wish the zipper went all the way around (or at least around 3 sides) and you had the option of which side you wanted to open it on. As noted in "pros" above, the seam where the backpack strap meets the backpack has started to come undone. I am guilty of overstuffing this piece as well and it has only come undone about 2", so the piece is still functional. I will take advantage of the warranty some day...as soon as I stop traveling long enough to send it in! Other than that, I've found nothing whatsoever to complain about.
Pros: I love this bag. It is so well made. All of my luggage is top of the line, but this is my first Briggs & Riley purchase. It rolls well and is fitted with all the extras that I would expect. I cannot wait for my up-coming trip to Europe.
Cons: I have nothing bad to say about this bag.
