This person might have found it. Using the pseudonym “lunalaboo”, this person goes around to airline auctions, which airlines hold to auction off lost luggage that has not been claimed after a given period of time (at least the proceeds go to charities, if that makes you feel better), and buys up lost luggage. He/she then goes on to photograph all the contents (this might make you think twice about what you pack, from now on) and post the photos online.
Depending on how embarrassed you are about the contents of your lost luggage, you may or may not want to contact “lunalaboo” to negotiate its safe return. While there is really no way to guarantee that your luggage does not end up in the hands of said “luggage voyeur”, clearly labeling/marking your luggage with a sturdy luggage tag will speed up the recovery process, should your luggage end up in the “lost luggage abyss”.
