Bags Going Green

By Krista | May 15, 2008

As everyone attempts to go green, recycled and reused materials are popping up everywhere, including a few new bags on Luggage Pros. Baggallini, a popular line of functional, fashionable bags for travel and daily use, has introduced an Eco-Fabric collection, which includes some of Baggallini’s most popular styles (cute and weekend-ready Baby Hampton is a favorite) made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. The fabric is lightweight, water resistant, and lovely to touch. As always, Baggallini has included plenty of smart pockets and features for organization.

Perhaps it is time for a new laptop case? For maximum laptop protection and minimal environmental impact, consider the new act2 GreenSmart laptop jackets by Shoreline, made of 100% post consumer water and soda bottles and additional recycled postindustrial material. Each bag even comes with a label letting you know how many recycled bottles went into your case.

If you are the ultimate road warrior in need of a serious luggage upgrade, now is the perfect time to go Tumi. Tumi is celebrating the release of their Alpha collection with offer for consumers AND the environment. It’s called o Green, Get Green, because with each single Tumi single item ($495 or more) purchase, you will receive a $100 gift card for your next Tumi bag, while helping Tumi plant 100,000 trees through the Global ReLeaf project.
